Either in the comfort of your own home or in a private massage room at a local salon in Bampton village.
Nutrition Advice:- as part of your 1 to 1 Personal Training or as a separate service.
With years of experience & success as an International Masters Judo Athlete, I have taken my love of sport & fitness to a new level as a Personal Trainer.
I am a fully qualified Personal Training & Sports Massage Therapist.
As a Personal Trainer I understand that adapting to new health & fitness habits is difficult & you may find it challenging at times.
My aim is to support you through this, so that health & fitness becomes part of who you are & your lifestyle.
I strongly believe that if you practice healthy habits, you will be able to obtain & maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Initial Consultation
You will receive a consultation. This will enable us to discuss your short, medium, long term goals & how I will be able to help you to achieve them. During the consultation some assessments will be carried out, such as: Resting Heart Rate, Resting Blood Pressure, Height & Weight checks. This allows me to decide on the best design of your programme.
Your 1 to 1 Programme
The design of your programme is tailored for you. It will be a safe & effective exercise programme designed to fit with your lifestyle, without causing major disruption & will improve your health & fitness.
Together we will set effective goals & devise a plan, this will allow you to prioritise your daily routine.
Your programme will cover all or some of the following training methods depending on your goals:
Muscular strength & Endurance.
Cardiovascular (Cardio) fitness.
Flexibility & Core stability.
Nutritional advice.
Motor skills:
Balance --- Co-ordination --- Reaction time --- Speed --- Power --- Agility.
Sports Massage:
Applied to specific muscles, often used to increase blood flow, release muscle tension, or release pain or pressure on nerves. Maintenance massage, these are massages generally after training & can identify any signs of dysfunction which can be reduced using a combination of massage & fitness therapies.
Relaxation Massage (Stress buster & get that feel good factor)
Research has shown that deep tissue massage can lower heart rate & blood pressure, relax muscles & increase the production of endorphins, the body's natural "feel good" chemical. Serotonin & dopamine are also released through massage & the result is a feeling of calm relaxation that makes acute or short-term stress much easier to overcome.
I am now able to offer a private massage room at a local salon in Bampton.
Level 4 Physical Activity & Weight Management for Obese & Diabetic Clients (February 2021, Focus Training regulated by *Active IQ).
Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training & Fitness Instructing (December 2018, Focus Training regulated by *Active IQ).
Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral Specialist (March 2019, Focus Training regulated by *Active IQ).
Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy (September 2019, Focus Training regulated by *Active IQ).
Fitness Professional's 'Toolkit' (October 2018 Focus Training ) CPD course covering :-
Pure Circuit covering Circuit Training 1 to 1 or groups (November 2018, Focus Training CPD course).
Level 2 Gym Instructor.
Level 2 Judo Coach through British Judo.
Enhanced DBS working with children & vulnerable adults.
First aid qualification.
Public liability insurance.
Member of UK Coaching.
*Active IQ is accredited by Ofqual to provide vocational qualifications for the fitness industry & specialising in areas such as health or recreation.
Payment methods are; Bank Transfers - Cash - Cheque. Payment is due at the start of each session unless other arrangements have been agreed.
NOTE:
If payment is not received within 48 hours of the session taking place, then it will be deemed that you no longer wish to use the services of Personal Training by James.
Cancellations must be made 24-hours in advance.
